 About us
Show Me Canines is a group in the Columbia, Missouri area committed to training dogs in a variety of performance sports. Our members do obedience, agility, earth dog, tracking, Rally obedience, therapy work, schutzhund, field, conformation, weight pull, and more.
As a club, our goal is to be community oriented and to promote positive dog training and responsible ownership. We have a variety of community projects—see our Projects page for more information.
We welcome all dog owners as members of our club. We have special programs for Juniors, and many of our projects and shows welcome mixed breed dogs as well as purebred dogs. Though most members do show their dogs, it is not a requirement—there are many ways to be active in the club without ever showing a dog!
Show Me Canines currently holds one UKC agility trial and one UKC obedience trial each year. We hold AKC Tracking certifications and have applied to become an AKC tracking club. We are also Show Me Agility Club of Central Missouri and will hold our first AKC agility trial in December, pending AKC approval.
Meetings
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Columbia Canine Sports Center.
